Genealogy has been a life-long pursuit of mine and I enjoy sharing what I've learned with others. I have a degree in Elementary Education and worked many years in the education field including as a library resource person. My genealogy education includes attending conferences, webinars, enrolling in genealogy online classes and researching my own families. Although my blog focuses on the Rock River Valley in Illinois, my ancestors came mostly from the eastern and northeastern parts of the United States and from Canada, England, Ireland and Scotland which led me to my blog's title, Rock River Heritage and beyond...
